glassfoundry was founded in 2001 by Ella Nemcow and Jessie Glass. The two friends started out in advertising's classic pairing: copywriter and art director. They begain developing identities and web sites for small businesses, emerging artists, and entreprenuers breaking into the hectic scene that is New York City. Seven years and four offices later, the design shop still specializes in creating logos & brand identities but has now also tackled neon signs, product packaging, huge canvas banners, and everything in between.

In 2005, Ella left glassfoundry for a year-long journey around the globe. She has since moved on to found the organic catering & nutrition counseling company The Regal Vegan.

Jessie continues to rack her brains at glassfoundry's offices trying to come up with concept-driven, communicative, and handsome solutions to the graphic design problems of small businesses and working artists everywhere.
